Hi readers

I have recently finished the NZ Supercross Champs.  After four rounds I ended up #1 NZ Champ in the 11-12 years 85cc class.

I won 3 out of 4 rounds and came 2nd in Auckland.

My favourite track of the series was the Rat Track at Motueka because of the big jumps, cool rhythm section and the big triple.

At the moment I am just hanging out with my friends from school.  My Kawasaki KX85 is still being put together after something blew in Wanganui.

I’m going to do the North Island’s in Hastings and then I will focus on the NZ Junior  Motocross Champs in Otorohanga

Thanks to my sponsors over the series, Kawasaki NZ, AFC Motorcycles, Globe NZ, RK Chains and Sprockets, Fly Racing, Dirtstar and my Whanau.

I wouldn’t have made NZ Champ without your help.

Thanks to Gareth for letting me use an awesome SX track and Mike Wilkins at Kawasaki for your support.

South Island Supercross / NZ Supercross Champs 2008 - Rnd 1 (Nelson)

Just back for the South Island where I had an awesome time at the South Island and New Zealand Supercross Championships.

A great weekend for where I won 5 out of the 6 races.

I came up short on the back triple and had a big off - this cost me the South Island Championship and I ended up second behind Chase Smith.

The track was awesome - a very cool rhythm section, a couple of big triples and some awesome whip jumps made for some exciting racing.

I was the first 85cc big to hit the triple in 8 years - before me Luke Burkhart and Ben Townley.  Since I have hit it, Cain Lamont on his 85cc and Campbell King on his 150cc have done it.

I currently lead the points for the NZ Supercross Title with three wins under my kidney belt.  Next race will be in Tokoroa; I don’t reckon the tracks as cool as Motueka but I wanna ride it well and hopefully come up with 3 more wins. Thanks to my sponsors AFC Motorcycles, Kawasaki NZ, Globe NZ, Fly Racing, RK Chains and Sprockets and my whanau.

Taupo Extravaganza

Wassup!  I just recently rode in the Taupo Extravaganza.  The track was awesome.  I had 2 good races coming in 6th and 3rd.  My first race didn’t go well- I got a bad start and ended up stuck OTB (Out The Back).  I had to work hard to finish 8th.

In practise and the 1st race I laid down some big whips over the dam jump.  After prize giving I was off to the skate park - it was wet but I still rode there.  I found some dirt jumps in a gully by the bmx track and the double was 4 meters long and was awesome to jump.

Ryan and Hadley Knight were their too and they thought it was pretty cool.

I am currently building dirt jumps behind my house and also riding bmx with Levi Sherwood.  This weekend is the last round of the Manawatu Champs - Go Hard!.

C U next time.

NZ Supercross Champs 2008: Round 2 (Tokoroa) – Sat 19 January 2008

Last Saturday we had the  2nd round of the NZ Supercross champs in Tokoroa.

My favourite race was the last one.  I led the two classes for half of that race, Mitchell Rees caught up to me and we battled for 2 laps.  We went over the triple together and I looked at him in the air which was cool.

Mitchell passed me after the triple and I passed him back straight away.  I led until the whoops where he passed me again and won the race.

I’m looking forward to riding at Woodville and heading up to Auckland for the 3rd round of supercross.

hanks heaps to my sponsors and Whanau for all your help.
